About me

Hello and welcome to LondonStrand, my name is Angie.

I’m originally from across the pond in the United Kingdom, hence my salon’s name, and I have been a stylist since I was sixteen. 

I started my profession in Bedfordshire, England, as an apprentice working behind the chair, while commuting to London for competition and runway work.

I met and married, an American service man, and we moved to Hawaii. Best years I ever worked as a stylist. Raised my daughter and ran my own daycare business. 

I realized I loved working with children, so at my next base I began substituting as a middle school teacher and an in-school suspension officer, all the while,of course, keeping my hair game up, while I raised my second daughter.

When we made our move to Texas, I finally joined my two passions of teaching and doing hair together, and started my 15 year journey as an educator for Vogue beauty academy, The Aveda institute, and Paul Mitchell.

For the last five years I have worked for a wonderful family firm at a prestigious Aveda salon here in San Antonio, as a manager of education and as a master stylist.

After this year and lots of prayer, I decided to jump and start my own salon LondonStrand, and it has been a fantastic journey so far.

I specialize in all colour and cutting techniques, but short hair is my favorite! Whatever you can dream up I can tweak and customize just for you!
